From Abu Abdillah an-Nu'man ibn Basyir Radhiyallahu 'Anhuma, he said,
"I heard Rasulullah Shallallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam said, 'Truly halal are clear and haram are clear, and between those two matters, there are cases that are syubhat (equivocal, not clear whether it was halal or haram) which most of people do not know about. Whoever keeps themselves from being syubhat, then he or she has freed his or herself from the haram for religious and his or her honor. Whoever fall into syubhat cases, then he or she has fallen on haram cases, as like as a shepherd who is herding around the garden which is forbidden to enter, of course the shepherd will gradually enter the garden.
Truly every king has a prohibited territory. Truly prohibited territory of Allah are the things that are haram (forbidden by Allah).
Actually in the body there is a lump of meat, if that meat was good, then the whole body is good and if that meat was damaged, then the whole body is damaged. Know that the lump of meat is the heart.'"
